Summer’s End
by Nicole Lowman
legs crossed
relaxation
leans back
in plaid chair
5.95 at Target
steal at summer’s end
mesh is sunken
tearing and frayed
plastic lifts
aging elbows
rainbow sways
in wind
speaking autumn
breathes
silent sighs
scratching
his head
